The New York Knicks will be scouting March Madness in anticipation of the 2017 NBA Draft. Here are the top 10 prospects they should target.

The most exciting time of the year for college basketball fans is upon us: March Madness. It’s NCAA Tournament time, and that means esteemed New York Knicks President Phil Jackson will have an opportunity to evaluate the prospects he has ignored all season long.

The 2017 NBA Draft has superstar potential at the top that fans are hoping the team will tank for because right now they’re not in a position to acquire any of the potential franchise changing prospects. Fortunately, it shouldn’t be difficult for the Knicks to keep losing and move into a top five pick.

New York has won four of their 11 games since the All-Star break and just six of their last 20 games overall. There’s no evidence to suggest things will get better with only 14 games remaining in another terrible season.

Jackson and his staff will be focused on potential point guards and perimeter players. With the likely departure of current starter Derrick Rose via free agency, New York will need  a new piece for 2017-18. Adding a wing scorer who can score and defend is important whether Carmelo Anthony leaves the team or not.

The Knicks have Kristaps Porzingis and Willy Hernangomez as two foundational young pieces to build around right now. Hitting a home run in the draft to find another youngster to pair with them is crucial to the future.

That guy could be a part of March Madness. Here are the top 15 targets for the Knicks during the 2017 NCAA Tournament.
