There are certainly a bevy of MLB stars who have the distinct tendency of losing their respective tempers, raising the question of what a team of them would look like.

It wouldn’t be a complete Major League Baseball season without the plentiful fights, ejections, and brawls that take place on and off the field.

Now, have you ever wondered what a team of the craziest players would look like?

To make this team, you not only need a few isolated incidents but a track record that makes you one of the most intimidating players in the game. Players on this team are not the guys you want to plunk to get back at a team for breaking an unwritten rule of the game.

Players on this team would probably have no problem going at it with the hotheads of the past, such as Pete Rose, Billy Martin, or even Ty Cobb.

Well, here it is the squad of the hottest heads in baseball today. A team that would probably be managed by Blue Jays’ manager John Gibbons. The 2016 MLB Rage-Stars.

C – A.J. Pierzynski

Pierzynski is one of the most notorious hot dogs in all of baseball. While with the Giants, Pierzynski was struck in the groin and a trainer came over to see how he felt. When the trainer asked him how he felt, he responded by striking the trainer in the genitalia and said, “Like this.”

Pierzynski was in the center of a brawl with the White Sox when a Cubs catcher took offense to his celebration at home plate. The catcher, Michael Barrett, struck him in the face and a brawl ensued.

In a 2013 poll by Men’s Journal, 100 MLB players voted him the most hated player in the entire league. In 2014, Pierzynski was tossed for the ninth time in his career when he argued with an umpire for a new ball. This season, he was ejected on July 22 after he kicked the ball towards the third base dugout after an interference call on teammate Erick Aybar.

1B – Mark Teixeira

Teixeira has always played the game with a lot of emotion. In 2011, Teixeira was hit by Fausto Carmona and a benches-clearing brawl ensued.

In 2012, Tex had a well-publicized dispute with Red Sox reliever Vicente Padilla. He was angry that Padilla continued to throw guys inside and accused him of trying to hit batters. The jabs continued to fly back and forth.

In 2015, Teixeira threw some verbal jabs at his third base coach, Joe Espada, after his indecision caused him to be thrown out at the plate by Leonys Martin.

Earlier this season, Teixeira got quite heated in a game versus the Mets. Tex was hit by a wild pitch from Steven Matz, the first one he saw after hitting a three-run home run. He got heated thereafter and the benches cleared, although nothing came of it.

Later in the game, he began to play with Mets reliever Hansel Robles. Robles thought that Teixeira was stealing his signs and began to get angry. He proceeded to toy with the young pitcher, mocking him from second base.

2B – Rougned Odor

In just three big league seasons, Odor already has gained the reputation of a hothead. The roots of his reputation mostly stem from his time in the minors. In Class A Spokane, as a professional rookie, Odor was suspended four games for his part in a benches-clearing brawl.

This season, Odor started another brawl with Toronto slugger Jose Bautista. Bautista slid hard into second base at Odor as retaliation for a previous altercation. Odor then sprung up from the pile and socked Jose Bautista right in the jaw.

A huge benches-clearing brawl proceeded to break out, with six suspensions being dished out by the league. Odor was suspended for 7 games.

SS – Manny Machado

In just five years in the bigs, Manny has already had his fair share of heated moments.

In 2014, Machado was at the center of a huge feud with the Oakland Athletics. He became angered when A’s third baseman Josh Donaldson hit him with a hard tag as he slid into the bag.

Machado seemingly retaliated by hitting A’s catcher Derek Norris with his backswing. Later in the series, Machado was brushed back several times by pitcher Fernando Abad. Machado abruptly threw his bat down the third-base line, supposedly directed at Abad.

He was later issued a five-game suspension by Major League Baseball.

Machado made headlines again in 2016 when he charged the mound in a game versus the Royals. He was thrown at by fellow hothead, Yordano Ventura, after a previous exchange of words.

He proceeded to charge the mound, starting a benches-clearing brawl and getting suspended four games as a result.
