New York Yankees legend CC Sabathia and all-time great skier Lindsey Vonn were recently honored by the New York March of Dimes.

Baseball legend CC Sabathia, one of the most accomplished pitchers of his generation, and Lindsey Vonn, the greatest female ski racer in history, were honored with the Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year Awards, respectively, by the March of Dimes Greater New York Market at its 36th Annual Sports Luncheon on Tuesday, Dec. 3, at the New York Hilton Midtown.

Steve Tisch, Chairman and Co-Owner New York Football Giants, was honored with the Sports Leadership Award. Each year, March of Dimes honors the outstanding achievements of men and women in the sports industry.

Past recipients include New York Yankees legend Mariano Rivera, NHL Hall of Famer Mark Messier, baseball icons Mickey Mantle and Cal Ripken, Jr., basketball superstars Patrick Ewing and Lisa Leslie, and the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team.

The event is attended by more than 700 leaders and influencers in the sports business industry. Over the past 35 years, the Luncheon has raised over $16M to support March of Dimes.
