Prepare for prolific power in the Bronx, because Yankees sluggers Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge are predicted to dominate 2019.

New York Yankees teammates Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge are the odds-on favorites to lead the MLB in homers in 2019. This news should surprise absolutely no one.

Sports betting site Odds Shark posted a tweet with the numbers on Wednesday. Stanton narrowly edged out Judge to top the list:

BetOnline put out similar odds in February. Their list also gave Stanton the best chance to lead the league in dingers, followed closely by Judge:

The two outfielders combined for 65 home runs in 2018. Stanton contributed 38 bombs, while injuries limited Judge to 27.

If they can stay healthy, this powerful pairing is certainly capable of depositing more than 100 balls in the seats. In 2017, when Stanton was still a member of the Miami Marlins, they each left the yard more than 50 times.

Judge already has four long balls this spring. Stanton only has two, but he utterly destroyed them:

There’s even a good chance that the two teammates will pit their powerful swings against each other for a massive payday at the MLB All-Star Game. The league recently announced new rule changes, including a $1 million bonus for the winner of the Home Run Derby.

Yankees fans know from regularly watching batting practice that Judge and Stanton present the most appealing matchup for such a high-stakes slugging contest.

Hopefully they’ll save a little pop for a potential playoff run, though. Million-dollar payouts and home-run titles are great, but World Series rings represent the ultimate reward.
