The early money is on Yankees sluggers Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge to hit the most dingers in the majors in 2019.

If the odds prove true in 2019, it might be time to give New York Yankees outfielders Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge a tandem nickname. Something like the Brothers Bambino or the Terrible Two.

According to BetOnline, Stanton has the best chance to lead the MLB in homers this season, with +700 odds. Judge isn’t far behind at +1000:

If BetOnline’s prediction is right, it will be a repeat of the 2017 season. That year Stanton led all hitters with 59 bombs, and Judge grabbed the No. 2 spot with 52.

The two power hitters joined forces in 2018, but their power dropped off significantly. Judge missed about two months with a broken wrist. Consequently, he only drove 27 balls over the fence.

Stanton, who was bothered by the lingering effects of a hamstring injury, hit just 38 home runs. Transitioning to the American League could be another reason for the former Miami Marlin’s reduced output.

Jump ahead to 2019, and both bashers are fully healthy, ready to demoralize opponents with their tape-measure blasts. Furthermore, Stanton now feels much more acclimated to his AL surroundings.

“Got one year in the division, in the league under my belt,” Stanton told reporters, per ESPN’s Coley Harvey. “Things are more comfortable now in terms of facing some of these guys and teams again more often.”

That should scare every pitcher in the league, especially when they considering the power in the rest of the lineup. Stanton and Judge’s subpar 2018 power numbers didn’t stop the Bombers from setting the single-season team HR record with 267.

Aaron Boone‘s Bombers can easily break that record again this season. And the Siblings of Swat are certainly primed to do their part.
