Long Island’s own professional boxer Cletus “The Hebrew Hammer” Seldin joins Schwartz on Sports to discuss an upcoming slate of action.

Boxing returns to NYCB Live, home of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Saturday Nov. 11 and Long Island’s own Cletus “The Hebrew Hammer” Sheldon will be taking on Roberto “Massa” Ortiz in a 10-round super lightweight fight.

The bout will be part of HBO’s World Championship Boxing starting at 10pm eastern time and it will be the first time that Seldin will be fighting at the Coliseum and on HBO.

“I’m absolutely ecstatic to fight for the first time on HBO and represent Star Boxing (his promoters) at the Coliseum,” said Seldin in a press release.

Seldin, the former WBC International Silver Super Lightweight Champion, is undefeated with a record of 20-0 with 16 knockouts while Ortiz is 35-1-2 with 26 knockouts.

In the interview, Seldin talks about his training, his opponent, and how important his Jewish heritage is to him. Tickets for the fight are available at the coliseum box office, ticketmaster.com, NYCBLIVE.com, or by calling 800-745-3000.
