A Twitter page called “Dumb Hockey Fans Say” is one of the more unique NHL feeds on social media.
Nearly two years ago, a hilarious Twitter page called Dumb Hockey Fans Say hit social media.
In the words of its biography, it posts “dumb tweets made by idiot hockey fans.” I kid you not.
The idea is ingenious: scour the interwebs for stupid comments, tweets, Facebook posts and more, and upload them in screenshot mode where the entire universe can see them.
Here are some examples:
Although Bella Castrichini evidently isn’t a hockey fan, I have trouble not cringing at this Tweet. I wonder if it ever crossed her mind that there might be a guy in hockey named Nash (you know, not of the Grier variety).

I’m not much of a Canadians fan, but lemme make this quite clear: Carey Price is the best goalie in the NHL. Injuries happen, even to Price. A “Pretty Boy Sellout?” Hmm….

Someone jumped the gun. There’s a reason Yogi Berra once said, “It ain’t over til it’s over.” It seems to be a universal hockey trend these days to assume the opposite.

This is something I can’t bash, as I’ve done it much of my life. But if this guy was serious, there’s too much absurdity on Twitter.
