In a very unreliable and silly equation, studies have found that fans of the Buffalo Bills are the drunkest collection in the NFL.

Let’s be honest here: To put our heads together in ranking the drunkest fans in the National Football League shouldn’t be that difficult.
We’ve seen some of the stupidest things go down in parking lots first hand.

Still, it’s nice to have something of substance to reference. Thanks to BACtrack – a company that makes and sells breathalyzers – we now do. What these guys did was let us know which NFL fanbases have the drunkest, and soberest collection of fans.
Of course, fans of the Buffalo Bills came out the obvious winners. Exhibit A and B come from the videos above.
Fans of the Detroit Lions, Philadelphia Eagles, Cleveland Browns, and Arizona Cardinals rounded out BACtrack’s top five drunkest supporters. The most sober of the bunch were fans of the Tennessee Titans and Cincinnati Bengals.
However, Clinton Yates of the Washington Post immediately destroyed the study’s credibility:
This whole thing is based on a confusing, probably unscientific smoke-and-mirrors system involving data from BACtrack, a smartphone breathalyzer, and Twitter’s map of NFL fan allegiance, which yields a magic number. Yes, this hinges on fans using a smartphone breathalyzer—and it’s not even clear how many people this poll involved. So take all of that for what it’s worth.
So, in the end, take it for what it’s worth.
