It doesn’t get much more dramatic than this folks. Actually it does, but it’s only August so this will have to do.

In his first game since April 14, New York Mets third baseman David Wright announced his comeback presence with authority in Philadelphia against the Phillies on Monday night.

As the first batter in the top of the second inning facing Phillies starter Adam Morgan, Wright absolutely hammered one to the upper deck of left field.

For Wright this marked his second home run of the season and fifth RBI. He’s currently 2-for-2 with a single coming from his other at-bat.

As far as a team are concerned, they trail Philly by a score of 7-5 in the bottom of the fourth inning. A total of seven home runs have been blasted in the game.
