The Brooklyn Nets are continuing to round out a title contender roster. Now, they’ve brought Wilson Chandler into the fold.
The only concern for a franchise that’s signed two superstars, is who will take the floor when they take to the bench. The Brooklyn Nets already held quite the supporting cast for Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. But apparently, they’re not done adding talent just yet.
Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports is reporting that Brooklyn is signing veteran forward Wilson Chandler to a one-year deal.

Chandler is a 12-year veteran who’s played for just four teams in his career: the Knicks, Nuggets, 76ers, and Clippers.
This signing most likely comes as a replacement to the loss of Jared Dudley, who Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN is reporting will sign with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Chandler joins Garrett Temple and DeAndre Jordan as the third sub-star level veteran to be signed this free agency. In his 36 game appearance with the Clippers last season, he averaged 6.7 points and 4.7 rebounds while shooting 39% clip from deep.
Brooklyn is gearing up for a deep playoff run, regardless of Durant’s unavailability for the following season. Who’s next?
One name to keep an eye on, is guard Quinn Cook, a former teammate of Durant’s in Golden State. Shams Charania of The Athletic is reporting that the Warriors have rescinded his qualifying offer, making him an unrestricted free agent.

Cook played the role of backup point guard in Golden State, but is notably a close friend of Durant’s. Keep an eye on him for now.
It’s also hard to dismiss Carmelo Anthony, who’s been waiting to sign with a contender since the beginning of last season.
He’s got a long history with a large presence in New York, and has the respect of stars around the league.
Anthony would be an ideal rotation player to assist the Nets’ title run, should he be willing to accept that role in aims of winning a championship.
The Brooklyn Nets continue to shape their roster from a first-round playoff exit to one that may see the Conference Finals, or have a shot at the NBA title. It’s going to be an exciting season at Barclays Center.
