The Bombers have the second-highest odds in MLB to make the playoffs.

On Tuesday, Fangraphs revealed the odds of each team in MLB making the 2021 playoffs, and the New York Yankees are the kings of the American League.

The Yankees’ offseason hasn’t been flashy, but it’s been good.

The addition of former Cy Young Award winner Corey Kluber, Jameson Taillon, Justin Wilson, and Darren O’Day as well as bringing back DJ LeMahieu on a fantastic contract were all great moves by New York’s front office.

These moves bolstered an already-great team that’s in a very unimpressive American League. Fangraphs projects the Yankees to have a 91.6% chance at making the playoffs, second in the entire league only to the reigning champion Los Angeles Dodgers.

The AL team with the second-highest odds are the Houston Astros at just 71.4%. In the AL East, the Toronto Blue Jays are second to the Yankees at 53.6%.

The Yankees are one of the best teams in baseball and really should be the kings of the AL. We can go as far as saying that the 2021 season will be a complete failure if the Yankees don’t at least make it to the World Series.

After all, the AL is theirs to lose.
