Despite a nagging quad injury, Giancarlo Stanton is back in the New York Yankees lineup for the slumping Edwin Encarnacion.

Manager Aaron Boone is pulling out all the stops. In an effort to reinvigorate the offense, the New York Yankees will put Giancarlo Stanton back in the cleanup spot.

New York’s three most dangerous hitters, DJ LeMahieu, Aaron Judge, and Gleyber Torres precede Stanton. The former National League MVP hit a home run in Game 1, but hasn’t played since due to a quad injury.

Edwin Encarnacion has put together some good at-bats in this series, but he’s failed to deliver in a big spot.

The Yankees face elimination in Game 5 as they take on the Houston Astros and Justin Verlander (7:08 p.m. ET).
