It appears that Brooklyn Nets point guard Kyrie Irving has taken the next step with his girlfriend, Golden.
When Kyrie Irving said he was choosing to join Roc(k) Nation, I didn’t think he meant like this.
All (terrible) jokes aside, it appears that the four-year, $141 contract with the Brooklyn Nets wasn’t Uncle Drew’s only long-term commitment this summer. (I need to stop with these damn puns.)
Kyrie Irving and his girlfriend, Golden, an Instagram model, were seen walking around NYC this past weekend. Right away, the fancy silver-banded diamond on Golden’s finger attracted the attention of nearby paparazzi.
According to TMZ Sports, the “paps congratulated Kyrie and Golden on their engagement … and the couple didn’t exactly deny it.” Keep in mind, per TMZ Sports, the two have been shrouded in rumors surrounding a potential engagement for quite some time, so this public appearance certainly didn’t help dissipate that chatter.
It’s worth mentioning, according to Sports Gossip, the two have been an item since December of 2018. This Kyrie guy really moves fast!
Kyrie Irving is coming off a career-year in Boston, posting tasty averages of 23.8 points, 6.9 assists, 5 rebounds, 1.5 steals, 48.7% from the field and 40.1% from three. On top of this, he advanced to the playoffs for the fourth time in his last five seasons.
Now, Kyrie is pulling up from half-court and taking it one step closer to tying the knot with Golden. You can bet your bottom dollar you’ll see his lady at the Barclays Center plenty of times next season, cheering on her man as he pushes his new team to earn home-court advantage for the 2020 postseason.
