CC Sabathia is on the injured list, but he still joined the action when New York Yankees were being tossed left and right.
On Saturday, everyone in Yankee Stadium was looking for a fight. New York Yankees starter CC Sabathia, unsurprisingly, was right in the middle of it all.
After Aaron Boone and Brett Gardner were yanked, Sabathia decided he would join them.
Don't make CC Sabathia that guy in the bar you say the wrong thing to. … ever. #Yankees (Via @BarstoolHubbs) pic.twitter.com/gFgZuqS3Gp

Sabathia is currently on the 10-day injured list with right knee inflammation. The grizzled veteran has struggled to maintain consistency in his final season, but there’s no doubt that the fire is still in the 39-year-old.
Sabathia and Gardner are the grumpy old men on the Yankees, but the dynamic seems to work. The Bronx Bombers are as hot as they’ve been all year and they were able to pull out the victory on Saturday despite the fireworks.
With all that said, it’s in the best interest of this team going forward to lay off the umpires in the future. It takes two to tango and the umpires were looking for any excuse to toss someone today.
However, Brett Gardner slamming the bat on top of the dugout was always going to end with an ejection at some point. It was hilarious the first couple times he did it, but Icarus flew too close to the sun.
The Yankees have a target on their back with every other team in the American League trailing in the standings. It appears like they also have a target on their back with a few umpires as well.
No #Yankees fan (especially on Twitter), will ever admit this, but this stuff is getting a little old.
It's not a good thing to have a constant target on your back via the umpires, whether it's justified or not. That reputation remains and could hurt you down the road. pic.twitter.com/veQlfgfT5R
