New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge ran into some fans while he was sightseeing in London, but they didn’t exactly recognize the star.

Aaron Judge is one of the most recognizable faces in New York. The superstar right fielder can’t go anywhere in the city without a New York Yankees fan spotting him.

However, Judge has found that things are different in London. While he was sightseeing at the London Eye, he had an interesting encounter with some folks wearing Yankee hats.

“I was actually walking near the London eye yesterday and I ran into a couple people that had the Yankee hat on,” Judge told reporters. “They had no idea who I was or anything. And I was like, ‘Woah this is alright. I’m Aaron. Nice to meet you.'”

The Yankees are in London to play the Boston Red Sox in a two-game series, marking the first games to ever take place in England.

The Bronx Bombers have an opportunity to add to their lead in the division. New York currently sits 6.5 games ahead of the Tampa Bay Rays and 9.0 games in front of Boston. A sweep of the Red Sox in London would give the Yanks a 12-game edge in the loss column before July.

Obviously, there are a lot of games left on the schedule, but the Yankees look poised to cruise to their first AL East title since 2012. They battled through a string of injuries to major contributors early in the season, but it hasn’t slowed them down.
