Move on over Jeffrey Maier; there’s a new cult fan hero in town.

On Sunday, a New York Mets fan took the nickname Brew Crew literally when an entire cup of beer was tossed on Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun (video above).

It happened in the first inning of the Mets 5-2 victory over the Brewers. A Pete Alonso blast soared towards Braun’s way only to bounce off the wall for a triple when the former NL MVP couldn’t quite make the grab through the waterfall of hops.

Alonso later scored on a Todd Frazier single to put New York up 1-0. Despite a Brew Crew two-run 7th inning, the Mets tallied the final three runs of the contest to improve to 14-13 on the season.

Next up for the New York Mets will be a four-game set with the Cincinnati Reds in Flushing. Game 1 is slated for 7:10 p.m. ET on Monday night.
