Thor being Thor. Noah being Noah. Syndergaard being … well, the most unique personality in baseball.

New York Mets power righty Noah Syndergaard just couldn’t contain himself. He was compelled to take to Twitter to respond to the current craze of trade rumors circulating regarding his MLB employment.

First and foremost, if you don’t know what Syndergaard just posted, conjure up a heavy dose of shame.

Will Ferrell in Anchorman as Ron Burgandy was Thor’s choice to respond to all of the noise on this particular Winter-Meetings Wednesday.

Syndergaard, 26, is, of course, the current center of the baseball universe (this side of J.T. Realmuto). New general manager Brodie Van Wagenen has dangled in his name to 29 other major-league clubs that’d love to get its hands on an ace to head the staff.

Thor simply doesn’t want to leave his city.

In 86 games started throughout a partially injury-plagued four-year career, Syndergaard’s gone 37-22 with a 2.93 ERA and 1.132 WHIP while mightily striking out 573 batters in 518.1 innings pitched.

For now, he remains a proud New York Mets employee. But with the Winter Meetings in full swing, anything can happen.

Imagine the Tweet that comes our way if he’s actually traded? Call in the help. His out-of-this-world superhero abilities might actually show face in a dangerous fashion.
