New York Jets WR Terrelle Pryor has incredible athleticism and that is on full display in an old video of him posterizing some poor kid.

New York Jets wide receiver Terrelle Pryor is a freak athlete. He has shown that ability on the football field for years, but this is one of the first times we get to see his athleticism displayed on the basketball court.

Pryor gets the steal and the kid who made the errant pass does his best to get back in transition and defend the rim. But the kid makes a poor decision and gets baptized at the rim. He tried to take a charge—not the worst idea—but doesn’t realize that Pryor has plans to go over him, not through him. And to add insult to injury, Pryor pretends he’s Allen Iverson and turns this kid into Ty Lue.

This is something you see more often than you would think in high school. Kids aren’t used to having someone that can go up and throw it down, so when there’s someone like Pryor on the court, there’s always the potential for a poster.

Pryor is likely to be a big piece in the offense this season, but is there any possible way he could pull double duty and suit up in Madison Square Garden for the New York Knicks as well? I mean, they’re looking for a talented wing that can defend. He’s got the length, the defensive awareness, and clearly the hops. If he can knock down threes at a decent percentage, he could carve out some minutes in David Fizdale’s lineups.

Someone from the Knicks should be calling the Jets right now and start figuring out how they could work this out.
