Home NYC Teams Brooklyn Nets

Brooklyn Nets, Jeremy Lin working out together this offseason (Report)

The Brooklyn Nets may not have made the playoffs, but they are still working out together and looking to continue building upon last season.

DeMarre Carroll, Jeremy Lin, and most of their teammates are in Los Angeles for some team bonding and offseason workouts. The Brooklyn Nets are trying to build a culture and this shows that Kenny Atkinson and Sean Marks could be making some progress on that front.

According to Brian Lewis of the New York Post, every Net is in this picture with the exception of Nik Stauskas, Allen Crabbe, and Jahlil Okafor. 12 of 15 Nets getting together in LA is a pretty good look for this young, up-and-coming team.

Lin feels like the forgotten man on this team to a certain degree. He came into last season with high expectations, but he ended up missing all of last season with a patellar tendon rupture. The Nets have a bit of a logjam at guard with D’Angelo Russell and Spencer Dinwiddie, among others. But that being said, if Lin plays up to his potential, he’ll see a lot of minutes on this young team.

He and Carroll can provide some veteran leadership to help this Nets team mature. They are still a long way off, but the future is starting to look brighter in Brooklyn.

Of course, working out and bonding over the offseason is all well and good, but hopefully, that camaraderie translates to wins next season. Everyone knows that this rebuild is going to take a while, but sooner or later, fans are going to want to see wins.

Camaraderie, chemistry, and team bonding are great—for now.
