New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. couldn’t stop gushing over soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo’s new Bugatti.
New York Giants superstar wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has had a busy offseason thus far. He stirred up some controversy by claiming he wouldn’t be playing during the preseason (he later expressed that he was not fully serious about that and that the media needs to grow up), he got some gifts from LeBron James and hit the town with Yankees outfielder Giancarlo Stanton.
Beckham is continuing to enjoy his offseason, as he hung out with Portuguese-born Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and got a first-hand look at Ronaldo’s personal Bugatti, complete with Ronaldo’s logo.
Beckham loved the car, giving off what appeared to be a slight shriek when getting close to the sports car. Beckham even enjoyed the sound of the high-end car running, letting the camera roll while the car idled.
Beckham even joked with Ronaldo about removing the logo from the side of the car, saying it was “disrespectful” to have the logo on such a nice car. Although he was joking about that, it was clear that he liked the car a lot.
With one year remaining on his rookie deal and the impressive numbers that he has produced thus far in his young career (313 catches, 4,424 yards, and 38 TDs), he is likely to get a large raise soon. Once he gets a new contract, he will be easily able to afford cars like Ronaldo’s Bugatti.
Beckham is relaxed entering what ESNY’s Robbie Stratakos says is the most important season of his young career. He is entering a contract season and has made it known that he wants to be paid amongst the top players in the league. The Giants struggled to three wins last season with him missing most of the year, and are drafting second overall in April. The team still wants to win a Super Bowl while Eli Manning is under contract, and Beckham will be a key to achieving that goal.
