New York Yankees outfielder Giancarlo Stanton is now friends with New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and here’s the story behind their recent big night out.

Giancarlo Stanton has made a new friend in New York City,  New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

Stanton posted a pic of himself and Beckham on Instagram over the weekend. The picture was taken at the Hyde Sunset nightclub in West Hollywood where both players are frequent guests. The New York Yankees outfielder captioned the pic with “Dem city boys” was taken early Saturday morning in West Hollywood at the Hyde Sunset nightclub, where both stars are frequent guests.

They go there because people leave them alone,” one person told the New York Daily News.

“They hung at the same table all night and came together,” one person said. “They were dancing on their VIP table, loving all the throwback songs and hot hip hop tracks like 21 Savage’s ‘Rockstar.’”

One source told the Daily News that Stanton and Beckham closed the club.

“They were with their boys,” the source said. Their group left together at 2 a.m.”

Beckham is looking to get a long-term contract extension done with the Giants. Maybe he could get some help from Stanton, who has $295 million remaining on the MLB-record, 13-year $325 million deal he signed with the Miami Marlins in 2014.

Stanton was acquired by the Yankees in December in a trade with the Marlins. Last year he hit .281 with 59 home runs and 132 RBIs. He was also named the National League MVP.

OBJ had 25 receptions for 302 yards and three touchdowns this past season before suffering a fractured left ankle in week 5. He is currently working out with trainer Jamal Liggin and expects that he’ll be ready to play when the 2018 season begins.

While people might wonder how Stanton will do in New York, at least he has at least one fan in New York in Beckham, who will be rooting for him this season.
