The WWE is in talks with UFC champion Conor McGregor to make an in-ring appearance at Wrestlemania in April 2018.
UFC fighter Conor McGregor could take a shot at wrestling next year.
According to Adam Higgins of The Sun, McGregor is in talks with the WWE to make a one-off special appearance. He could make his in-ring debut at Wrestlemania next April.
“Conor is a huge wrestling fan,” a source told Higgins. “His entire persona on stage he has developed from watching performers like Ric Flair and The Rock. These are the top dogs at self-promotion and trash talk. He watched these guys when he was younger. This is something he’s always wanted to do. The WWE guys have asked him to do shows before with them but the timing was never really right. But this time it looks like a deal is going to be locked into place.”
McGregor is the current holder of the UFC lightweight belt. While he might want to make the move to wrestling, UFC president Dana White has ordered him to defend his lightweight title against Tony Ferguson when he returns to the Octagon, according to Jack Rathborn of The Mirror.
Conor, you probably just want to make one appearance in the WWE because Enzo Amore will be coming after you. Back in June, before McGregor took on Floyd Mayweather in the boxing ring, Amore threatened to knock McGregor out if ‘Pretty Boy Floyd’ didn’t.

Conor you’d better hope that you’re better at wrestling than you were at boxing because Amore will knock you out if he gets a chance.
