The Tampa Yankees, Advanced-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, will have seven players on their roster make a trip to the Florida State League’s All-Star Game in mid-June.

The Florida State League selected infielder and outfielder Jorge Mateo, outfielder Tito Polo and right-handers Zack Littell, Dillon McNamara and Jose Mesa. Left-hander Josh Rogers and right-hander Cody Carroll were originally named All-Stars, however, because of their promotions to Double-A Trenton, Littell and Mesa will replace them.

This will be Jorge Mateo’s second consecutive trip to the Florida State League’s All-Star Game. Mateo is batting .250 with 13 doubles, six triples, three home runs, eight RBIs, and 18 stolen bases.

Tito Polo will make his first FSL All-Star appearance (second consecutive All-Star selection) after making the South Atlantic League All-Star Game for Single-A West Virginia. He’s batting a slash of .250/.322/.359 with five doubles and three triples so far this season.

Before being promoted to Double-A Trenton last week, Josh Rogers posted a 4-3 record with a 2.22 ERA while Carroll posted a 1-0 record with a 2.25 ERA in 13 appearances for Tampa.

Zack Littell, who is replacing Rogers, is 6-1 with a 2.03 ERA this season and is tied for the most wins in the FSL and ranks fourth in ERA as of Thursday.

Jose Mesa will replace Cody Carroll. He’s 1-0 with a 1.27 ERA and 0.56 WHIP in ten relief appearances.

Dillon McNamara is 1-0 with seven saves and a 1.23 ERA in 15 relief appearances.

Tampa Yankees manager and former major league player, mostly known for his time with the Arizona Diamondbacks, Jay Bell will manage the North Division.

The Florida State League All-Star Game will take place on Saturday, Jun. 17 at 7:00 p.m. ET at Joker Marchant Stadium, home of the Lakeland Flying Tigers and spring training complex of the Detroit Tigers.
