All the moments leading up to Opening Day has been culminated in one spectacular hype video released by the New York Yankees on Friday morning.
What better way to celebrate Friday than to remember the New York Yankees officially begin their chase for 28 in approximately two days?
Opening Day is so close we can taste the anticipation of another season full of adrenaline, heartbreak and, perhaps most importantly, pure ecstasy.
The New York Yankees helped build up to the season by officially releasing the Opening Day hype video on their Facebook and Twitter on Friday morning.
The video features on-field highlights from last year’s squad, including Brett Gardner‘s incredible catch against the Toronto Blue Jays and Didi Gregorius flashing some leather from all around the diamond.
Off-field segments feature Aroldis Chapman and Masahiro Tanaka working out at their spring training complex, as well as Gary Sanchez taking batting practice in the cages. Gregorius is also featured, taking ground balls on the field surrounded by darkness.
If that doesn’t make you excited for Opening Day, you have no heartbeat.
Best of all, keeping the Bronx theme, the narrator is Chazz Palminteri from A Bronx Tale Musical. His description of the Yankee Way gives me chills.
A special thank you to @chazzpalminteri of @BXTaleMusical on Broadway for helping us get ready for Opening Day! (2/2)

“This is the Bronx, where expectations are different,” Palminteri muses in the video. “Where we hold ourselves to a higher standard.”
No World Series Championship since 2009? Not good enough. This hype video brings out the fire of competition once again.
Last year was not bad. However, the Yankees strive to be greater. This video reminds us that it’s not just the fans that are excited; the players can’t wait to get back under the bright lights in the Bronx.
They’ve worked for this day. They live for this day. The Yankees are ready for Opening Day. Now, are you?
