New York Mets’ shortstop prospect Amed Rosario demonstrates that the organization isn’t just about developing young pitching.
The young prospect, Amed Rosario, of the New York Mets has been added to the 2016 All Star Futures Game, joining Dominic Smith, Dilson Herrera, and other promising kids in the orange and blue’s farm system. The shortstop is batting .400 in 15 games since being called up to the Double A Binghamton squad.
Rosario also replaces crosstown rival’s Jorge Mateo, who has been suspended by the New York Yankees.
This hopeful star was signed by the Mets as an international prospect in 2012 and was named a Mid-Season All Star with the single A club this year.
Not only should Mets’ fans be excited about the team’s chances this coming fall, but also moving forward, as this team could now have a five headed monster in their starting rotation.
Congrats to our very own @Amed_Rosario who has been named to the #FuturesGame to replace Yankees Jorge Mateo!
