Sometimes, somebody’s legend grows to an extreme level. For New York Mets starting pitcher Bartolo Colon, he knows the feeling.

There are videos on the internet, and then there’s this.

Bartolo Colon, the New York Mets hefty, veteran pitcher who’s become a cult-hero in Flushing over the last few seasons, smashed his first MLB home run in San Diego this past weekend off James Shields.

From that moment came many things. It provided news, hilarity and long-lasting discussions – much do to about nothing.

Now, it’s also brought this amazing video.

Check it out above. A YouTube gem created by Mark Evans features Colon’s only big league home run as Roy Hobbs in the final seen of the classic The Natural.

Ladies and gents, it doesn’t get much better than that. How does one not enjoy watching this guy chug around the diamond?
