As the New York Mets host the Philadelphia Phillies, SNY’s Gary Cohen has a little fun with Keith Hernandez‘s “questionable” gameday rituals.
By Jeremy Fialkow
During a windy, cold day at Citi Field, with the New York Mets battling the Phillies, SNY’s Gary Cohen sent a scorching shot fired towards 1986 World Series Champion Keith Hernandez.
Hernandez was simply relaying useful advice to his SNY audience, concerning how a Major League player prepares for the long haul of the season.

More specifically, Mex said, a nice cup of joe in the morning is a perfect cure to ready for a day game, following a night game.
Cohen took no time in praising Mex’s word choice, in the process making a subtle reference to the ’86 WS team’s rampant use of cocaine and other drugs.
Surely, there’s no love lost between the two.
