New York Mets

Not even the suits in the front office of the New York Mets can believe how successful business currently is heading into 2016.

Not even the organization itself can imagine this.

Heading into the 2015 season, New York City baseball fans knew the status-quo. They knew the Big Apple was the city of the New York Yankees and that the New York Mets came second.

One World Series appearance couldn’t change that. Thanks to the raging success of the Bronx Bombers over the last two decades, it would take many years of continued success for a city to change its colors.

Right?

Not so fast.

The momentum captured off the 2015 Fall Classic is now taking form by way of green – money, that is.

Their success can be measured as more than double.

Via Richard Morgan of the New York Post:

“Season-ticket sales are up more than double from this day a year ago,” Lou DePaoli, the team’s chief revenue officer, said in a recent interview. “Group ticket sales are up 33 percent, and single-ticket sales are up 23 percent.”

Who would’ve thought it? Just one hot stretch run has now forced New York City to change its colors so drastically.
