When the New York Mets welcome in the Washington Nationals to Tradition Field later tonight, captain David Wright will be in the lineup.

Finally, it has happened.

The New York Mets captain, David Wright, will make his long awaited 2016 MLB Spring Training debut today against the division-rival Washington Nationals.

The Amazins’ lineup will be littered with starters. Curtis Granderson, Yoenis Cespedes, Lucas Duda, Neil Walker, and Michael Conforto will all join Wright in the lineup.

Bartolo Colon will take the ball from manager Terry Collins and oppose big-time prospect Lucas Giolito.

Former Met Daniel Murphy will bat second for the Nats.
