Noah Syndergaard made his spring training debut today as his New York Mets took out the St. Louis Cardinals by a final of 7-2. Syndergaard breezed through three innings, allowing just one hit and striking out two. In fact, he retired the first eight Cardinals batters he faced.
Ruben Tejada hit a two-run homer for the Mets after replacing Asdrubal Cabrera, who left in the first inning with a knee injury.
Alejandro De Aza and Wilmer Flores each chipped in with two hits.
