New York Mets captain and third baseman, David Wright, begins Game 3 of the World Series with one very loud, very swift swing of the bat.

We spoke about it earlier in the day while discussing how the New York Mets can get off to a hot start in Game 3 of the World Series tonight.

We said, should David Wright homer in the first-inning, it would mirror what Don Mattingly did in 1995 and bring Citi Field crumbling down with emotion.

Well, what do you know, Wright came up in the first-inning with his team down 1-0 and took young Yordano Ventura over the left center-field wall (Video Above).

As it stands right now the Mets are down 3-2 after the Kansas City Royals scored two in the top of the second. It could’ve been a couple of more runs if not for Wright making two brilliant defensive plays at third.
