New York Mets

And so it begins. Only moments away from Game 3 of the NLDS, we’re getting a glimpse as the New York Mets fan and his/her temperature.

By Robby Sabo

During the late 1980s Guns N’ Roses released one of the most revered hard rock albums of all time in Appetite For Destruction. In that album came probably their most recognizable single, “Welcome to the Jungle.”

This leads me to my next point. If Chase Utley and the rest of the Los Angeles Dodgers don’t feel like they’re in the jungle right now, as we speak, then they never will.

Coming off a Game 2 that saw Utley slide hard and late into Ruben Tejada, breaking his leg and sidelining him for the remainder of the MLB Postseason, you knew New York Mets fans would be ready come Game 3 at Citi Field.

Not only does the Utley venom play in, but this game serves as the first Mets home game since 2006, nine long years.

Welcome to the Jungle Chase Utley.
