New York Mets second baseman Daniel Murphy decides to begin the scoring in the NLDS as he smashes a solo home run against Clayton Kershaw.

Back and forth they go in Game 1 of the NLDS.
Jacob deGrom and Clayton Kershaw (perhaps the best pitcher in the world) are throwing up scoreless frames left and right. Not only that, but the strikeouts have been amazing.
deGrom’s fanned eight Dodgers through four innings, while the lefty just struck out his 10th of the night as he pitches on in the fifth.
The one blemish of this 1-0 game came in the fourth inning.
New York Mets second baseman Daniel Murphy, who seems to have ice water running through his veins right now, hit a solo shot off Kershaw to give the Amazin’s the 1-0 lead.

It was a true lefty-on-lefty smash.
