New York Yankees

New York Yankees 14-game winner Nate Eovaldi, known as Nasty Nate to his friends, will be shut down for two-weeks due to elbow inflammation.

The number one concern about the 2015 New York Yankees revolved around their age. They were yet again coming into a season with one of the older rosters in the league and staying healthy would be and remain of the highest importance.

Alex Rodriguez and Mark Teixeira had to stay healthy unlike the previous few seasons. On the pitching front ace Masahiro Tanaka needed to do the same.

For the most part it’s been a remarkable 2015 for the Bombers on the injury front. Until recently.

Teixeira has gone down due to a bum shin and now starting pitcher Nate Eovaldi will be shut down for two-weeks thanks to elbow inflammation.

According to the Yankees public relations department, Eovaldi “was evaluated by Dr. Ahmad and underwent an MRI, revealing right elbow inflammation. He will be shut down for two weeks.”

This is certainly a huge blow to a New York club who doesn’t even know who their ace is.
