Katelyn Pavey doesn’t let having one arm stop her from playing softball.  It also doesn’t stop her from pulling off an epic trick shot.

By Steven Cifuentes

Katelyn Pavey is not just your run of the mill high school softball player. She was born with one arm and has not let that handicap hold her back.

She is not only the captain of her Indiana high school team, but she bats leadoff with an average of .579 and an on-base percentage of over .800.

Katelyn was born with phonemelia that caused one of her arms to only develop half way down.  Katelyn has not let this hold her down in the field as she also plays a solid centerfield.  Arguably the hardest position in the outfield.  She is an inspiration to everyone that sees her play.

When Katelyn saw a two armed softball player pull off the below viral video, she knew she had to prove that even with one arm she has skills.

Katelyn has proven while you may not be dealt a full deck of cards in life, it is how you play the cards you are dealt that counts.
