1authorrob3 - David Wright, New York Mets Begin 4-Game Set In PhillyIf you’re a fan of the New York Mets it doesn’t get any better than this. Coming fresh off a three-game sweep of the Rockies in Colorado that saw the lineup put up a ridiculous 33 runs, your beloved captain David Wright is now officially back.

He’ll hit fourth in the lineup tonight and man the hot-corner in Philadelphia. Better yet, ace Jacob deGrom will kick things off.

deGrom will oppose a four-game winner in lefty Adam Morgan.

It’s somewhat surprising to see Terry Collins put Wright in the cleanup role immediately. Many figured he’d be slotted into the No. 2 hole, sandwiched in between Curtis Granderson and either Daniel Murphy or Yoenis Cespedes. This way some of the power pressure would be lifted off his shoulders.

In any event, the captain is back and the lineup looks that much better on paper.

Michael Cuddyer will fill in at right field while Granderson receives the night off.

First pitch is slated for 7:05 PM ET from Citizens Bank Park.
