Today in Queens the New York Mets will look to right the ship after two straight extra innings losses to the Bucs. Lucky for them they’ll have the right guy going in such a game.
Matt Harvey will take the mound in a much celebrated Harvey Day. He’ll oppose Jeff Locke of the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Due to the Washington Nationals losing once again – this time at the hands of the San Francisco Giants Saturday night – the Mets have maintained their comfy 4.5 game lead in the NL East.
Still, looking to avoid getting swept by the Pirates again (as they did earlier in the season), will be a big time priority for manager Terry Collins. This is especially the case considering an NL playoff matchup could loom.
First pitch is scheduled for 1:10 from Citi Field.
