New York Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes decided to show off his canon of an arm by gunning down a runner at third base on Saturday.
One attribute in baseball that has allowed to slowly fall by the wayside in recent generations has been that of the outfield arm.
Once considered one of the top skill-sets, the outfield arm has slowly dipped in notoriety. Speed, contact, power and overall defensive abilities remain important while the gunslingers have trickled down the list.
