On a trade deadline day which saw general manager Brian Cashman do nothing, the New York Yankees head to Chicago to take on White Sox.
Uncharacteristically, the New York Yankees (57-44) have lost two games in a row. Tonight they’ll play the White Sox (49-51) on the South Side of Chicago looking to avoid their first three-game losing streak in over a month.
It’ll be Nate Eovaldi (10-2, 4.27 ERA) put up against lefty Carlos Rodon (4-3, 4.07 ERA).

Friday, of course, marked the 2015 MLB Trade Deadline. Despite some momentum that the Yanks were nearing a deal for San Diego Padres closer Craig Kimbrel, the day came and went with Brian Cashman standing pat, refusing to trade his blue-chippers in the farm.
#Yankees were willing to put Mateo in offer for Kimbrel and never hear back from #padres so belief is they have deal elsewhere

The deadline has passed. The Yankees didn’t make any additional deals today.

Although they did acquire Seattle Mariners infielder Dustin Ackley recently, there will be one major addition soon. Pitching super-prospect Luis Severino will make next start with the big club.
