New York Mets

Sandy Alderson has finally made the decision to bring up Michael Conforto on the night the New York Mets look to bounce back against L.A.

The one thing the 2015 New York Mets need is lineup help. Actually, forget describing is as the one thing – it’s the only thing.

Finally, after weeks of speculation and fire throughout the media and airwaves, outfield prospect Michael Conforto will make his Major League Baseball debut on Friday night as New York hosts the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The former first round pick will play left-field and hit seventh in the lineup as he replaces the injured (and now DL bound) Michael Cuddyer. He met with the media prior to the game with all smiles:

Another interesting aspect to tonight’s game comes in the form of each club’s starting pitcher.

The Dodgers were scheduled to pitch the hottest pitcher on the planet in Zack Greinke, but due to his wife giving birth he was forced to be scratched. Now, it seems as though the Mets scheduled starter Jon Niese might be facing the same situation with his wife due any moment.

First pitch is slated for 7:10 pm ET in Flushing.
