On Wednesday night it was Alex Rodriguez and Mark Teixeira who fueled the New York Yankees to a 4-3 victory over the Baltimore Orioles.

Has there been a better middle of the order than what the New York Yankees possess this season?

Like most nights, Tuesday night turned into another game which featured Alex Rodriguez and Mark Teixeira powering their club to victory. This time it was a 4-3 victory over the Baltimore Orioles with the two New York Bash-Brothers each contributing with a home-run.

Ivan Nova earned his second victory of the season by allowing only two runs on three hits in six innings pitched.

Even Stephen Drew got in the act by making a dazzling ranging play to his left, robbing Chris Davis of a base hit:

Joe Girardi’s 700th win as Yankees manager now puts them 11-games over the .500 mark (52-41).
