After a well deserved off day, the New York Yankees will send Nate Eovaldi to the mound to take on Buck Showalter and the Orioles.
Only four games separate the New York Yankees and the defending AL East champion Baltimore Orioles. This is precisely why this three-game set in the Bronx – which gets underway Tuesday night – is so crucial to both teams.
Nate Eovaldi (9-2, 4.50 ERA) will take the ball from Joe Girardi and take on Wei-Yen Chen (4-5, 2.78 ERA).

Chen will look to pitch his sixth straight quality start. Orioles manager Buck Showalter has certainly taken notice.

“Wei-Yin’s been solid for us,” manager Buck Showalter told MLB’s official website. “After having him for a while, we’ve got a pretty good idea what works for him and what doesn’t.”
