Masahiro Tanaka heads to the mound for the New York Yankees in their first game back from the 2015 MLB All-Star break.
The mission for the New York Yankees is quite simple: make the 2015 postseason. If they succeed, it would be the first time in two seasons that they would have accomplished that feat.
Tonight marks the beginning which eventually leads into the dog-days of the MLB season.
Masahiro Tanaka (5-3, 3.63 ERA) will kick off the second-half as he opposes Mike Montgomery (4-3, 2.29 ERA) and the Seattle Mariners at Yankee Stadium tonight.

The MLB All-Star Game will most definitely be deemed a success in the Bronx purely due to the fact that the AL knocked off the NL 6-3. Should the Yanks get to the World Series, they’ll now be privy to home-field advantage:
