With Tanaka Time in full effect, the New York Yankees barely edge out the Seattle Mariners by the final of 4-3 in first game back.
Seattle Mariners slugger Kyle Seager homered twice tonight in Yankee Stadium. No matter though as the New York Yankees came away with the 4-3 victory in the first game back after the 2015 MLB All-Star break.
Alex Rodriguez smacked his 19th home run of the season in the seventh inning which catapulted the Yanks to the 4-3 lead and eventual win.

To A-Rod, the rest he gained during the All-Star break turned out to be very beneficial.

“I’m rested, I’m healthy,” he said.
Masahiro Tanaka allowed three runs and five hits while striking out seven in seven innings pitched. Andrew Miller picked up the save.
