New York Knicks

There have been talks of the New York Knicks signing one of their players on the Westchester Knicks to a 10 day contract; you may have heard of him.

When I mean “Greek Freak,” what I mean to say is Thanasis Antetokounmpo.

Talks have been swirling that the 51st pick in the 2014 Draft may potentially get signed by the New York Knicks to a 10-day contract.

Look, I know I might have gotten you all excited that just maybe Milwaukee Bucks GM John Hammond had something slip into his drink for him to send over the real Greek Freak — Giannias Antetokounmpo over to the New York Knicks but, Thanasis is pretty freakishly athletic to his own credit.

A recent stand-out game of his (below) shows the man can run the floor fairly well:

I’m not sure what kind of meaningful playing time he would receive if the call-up does come to fruition. What I do know is that in spite of head coach Derek Fisher’s trimming of his starting rotation of late, the injury to Carmelo Anthony and the abundance of overtime games, forces Fisher to expand his rotation once more.

No offense (literally speaking) to guys like Kevin Seraphin, Lou Amundson and Kyle O’Quinn, but I would have to assume Thanasis would get the nod right away to sub into the game and try to provide a spark.

All over the internet there have been hints that Thanasis, or aka T.A. as they call him, will be signed. HOWEVER, I took the initiative to tweet to Westchester Knicks reporter Joey Wahler to get his take on the potential signing.

Time will tell shortly if the “somewhat” Greek Freak will indeed be offered that 10 day contract
