All the New York Yankees did this past weekend was win games. Three games to be exact against the Atlanta Braves at Turner Field.
They rediscovered their stroke to the tune of 38 runs in three games. The only problem is the first-place Toronto Blue Jays keep winning as well. This is why the AL East deficit is still 1.5 for the Bronx Bombers.
Tonight they’ll need to continue their winning ways against a Boston Red Sox team who just took two-of-three in Flushing against a hot Mets club.

Ivan Nova will take the hill for Joe Girardi. He’ll oppose rookie Eduardo Rodriguez.
Speaking of Rodriguez, Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez is expected back in the lineup after his weekend off as they played in a non-DH National League park.
The bad news is ailing slugger Mark Teixeira isn’t in the lineup on Monday night. As a matter of fact, he’s now reportedly heading back to New York for more tests on his shin.
First pitch from Fenway Park is slated for 7 PM ET.
