The Brooklyn Nets will be without Jeremy Lin for the rest of the season after a knee injury he suffered in Wednesday’s season opener.

[dropcap]J[/dropcap]eremy Lin just can’t catch a break. He wanted to bounce back in a big way in 2017-18 after missing 46 games in his first season with the Brooklyn Nets. Sadly, that won’t happen.

On Wednesday night he injured his knee, and he’ll be out for the season. The play happened after making a layup in the fourth quarter against the Pacers. Lin grabbed his leg, and when the trainer came out to check on him, the point guard mouthed “I’m done. I’m done. I’m done.”

After Gordon Hayward’s injury on opening night Tuesday in the season opener, this is another crushing blow to the NBA. Like Lin, he’ll miss the season.

With Lin out, you have to think that the Nets will pursue another option at the point guard spot. He was such a huge part of their potential success that it’s important to try and replace his production.
