The New York Yankees were able to finish off a 6-5 comeback win over the Toronto Blue Jays thanks to this walk-off single by Pete Kozma

Just call the New York Yankees the comeback kids.

Despite trailing the Toronto Blue Jays by one run entering the ninth inning, the Bombers were able to come-from-behind and squeeze out of Saturday’s action with their 21st win of the spring.

The rally started when Zack Zehner singled off Toronto reliever Joe Biagini to start the ninth inning. After Wilkin Castillo struck out looking, utility man Ronald Torreyes reached on an error by third baseman Jake Elmore to put two runners on with one out.

Two batters later, after a Rob Refsnyder fly out, Mason Williams reached on an error by first baseman Ryan McBroom to score Zehner to tie the game and put Torreyes, the winning run, on third.

Pete Kozma, the very next hitter, then ripped one back up the middle for a walk-off base hit to center. Yes, the two runs were unearned, but a win is a win and the Yankees currently have the most spring wins across the major leagues.

New York will remain at George M. Steinbrenner Field for Sunday’s matchup with the Tampa Bay Rays. It’s an important start for the Yankees probable starter Bryan Mitchell, as this could be his last outing of the spring. The righty is in competition for one of the final two rotation spots.
