New York Yankees infielder DJ LeMahieu ties Game 6 of the ALCS with one of the gutsiest at-bats a baseball fan will ever witness.
Isn’t it amazing? Two hot stove season afterthoughts, Gio Urshela and DJ LeMahieu, have matched the Houston Astros grit all night.
The latter of the pair put together one of the gutsiest at-bats a baseball fan will ever witness in October play.
Facing a 4-2 deficit in Game 6 of the 2019 ALCS, DJ LeMahieu continued battling off pitches from Astros closer Roberto Osuna. He eventually connected for an all-time homer, an opposite-field shot that tied the game up at four runs apiece.
If the Yankees win this game, this DJ LeMahieu at-bat will go down in the organization's history as one of the greatest, gutsiest of all-time. #NextManUp pic.twitter.com/ata1yUtXQe

Urshela was the man on first base, who had singled earlier in the inning. He also hit the Yankees other home run of the night, a solo shot in the top of the second inning.
The two teams play on in the bottom of the ninth inning with Aroldis Chapman on the mound.
