Superstar P.K. Subban continued to remind Devils fans that they won’t ever be bored regardless of the team’s play after debuting his Youtube vlog.

NEWARK, NJ – While the winless New Jersey Devils continue to make all the wrong headlines with their recent play on the ice, the team has made one thing clear: they mean business about upping their digital content on the marketing side.

On Wednesday morning, the Devils released their first episode of “82 Game Odyssey,” a video segment less than five minutes long; which entailed footage of all the cool behind the scenes plus in-game, slow motion and different camera angles fans are probably used to seeing in the NHL’s Road to the Winter Classic series’ – a.k.a. “24/7.”

Let’s not forget that the Devils were also busy addressing their latest move with the addition of adding assistant general manager, Tom Fitzgerald, to the coaching staff. We’re sure your Twitter feed saw plenty of reactions from the fans on that.

But just when you thought the Devils might be done for the day with their publicity – defenseman P.K. Subban chimed in.

One of professional hockey’s biggest and brightest personalities debuted his vlog via YouTube on Wednesday afternoon.

Subban described his first episode as his “first 24 hours as a New Jersey Devil”, which took fans behind the scenes away from the rink and primarily at his home.

While the opening moments portray a Reality TV feel to it, as if the segment should be on the E Channel, or whichever network Keeping up with the Kardashians is on – the first episode turned out pretty darn cool.

The vlog was well produced and the fact that it’s only 10 minutes long should appeal to a more variety of publics. Nothing dragged out and it moved along at, well, a perfect pace.

It seemed that a majority of the first episode spent time with Subban and his fiancé, Lindsay Vonn, at their home with the dog, talking about watching the TV series, “Law & Order,” while No. 76 also displayed a small portion of his flashy wardrobe.

The in-game highlights were from the team’s opening loss to Winnipeg and a quick montage that was aimed to create the best image possible for P.K (which is understandable – it’s his vlog, not the Devils’).

Some fans may not support this type of entertainment coming from Jersey and its players at the moment, especially considering the start they Devils are off to. However, this vlog is short and sweet and provides something the modern era of all types of sports fans are looking for – they want to see more of the stars behind the scenes.

Well done…now the “Subba-nators” want a “W” against the New York Rangers on Thursday night.
